Ask for a Donation at Checkout
A ReStore register can invite the customer to give at the point of sale: round the sale up to the next dollar, or add a flat donation. Both are real donations, receipted and recorded against the donor, and neither one is taxed.
Rounding Cash to the Nickel
Some stores cannot reliably make small change. Cash rounding settles an all-cash sale on the nearest five cents so the drawer can tender exactly, without changing what the sale was actually worth.

Volunteer Check-In at the POS
The POS register's time-clock pill can also check in volunteers who are registered for events at this store. The cashier doesn't have to switch tabs — the same dropdown they use to clock in opens a roster of expected volunteers.
Cashier Switching
The POS register supports multiple cashiers per shift. A manager (or a shared "terminal" account) signs into the iPad/web POS once, and then any staff member or volunteer with a PIN can become the active cashier for a stretch of sales — without the manager needing to sign out.
iPad Receipt Printer
The iPad register prints receipts and drawer slips on an Epson TM-m30III thermal printer connected by USB-C or Bluetooth. The cash drawer is wired to the printer, so the same job that prints a cash receipt also pops the drawer. Card receipts print here too. The card terminal only prints when no printer is paired, or when you ask it to.
