Build Templates
Templates keep your communications on-brand and save time on repetitive messages.
Create a template
- Go to Communications → Templates and click New Template.
- Choose the channel (Email or SMS).
- Add a name, subject (for email), and body content.
- Insert merge fields like
{{first_name}}or{{event_date}}to personalize.
Use a template
Templates can be used when:
- Sending a one-off message
- Configuring an automation
- Sending from a related record (e.g., volunteer event reminder)
Versioning
Edits to a template don't affect messages already sent. Use Duplicate if you want to keep the original intact while iterating.
