Compose Dashboards

Dashboards combine reports, charts, and metrics into a single view tailored to a role or use case.

Create a dashboard​

  1. Go to Dashboards → New Dashboard.
  2. Give it a name and (optionally) a description.
  3. Choose a default layout or start blank.

Add tiles​

Tiles can display:

  • Metric — a single number with trend
  • Chart — bar, line, pie, etc.
  • Table — rows from a saved report
  • List — recent records or activity
  • Calendar — volunteer events, fundraising events, campaigns, and projects on one month, week, or day view

Drag and resize tiles to arrange your layout.

Calendar tile colors​

The Calendar tile's legend has one color for each kind of event: Volunteer Events, Fundraising Events, Campaigns, and Projects. Use the tile's Filter button to choose which kinds you see. That choice is yours alone and doesn't change anyone else's dashboard.

The colors themselves are set once for your whole organization. To change them, an administrator goes to Settings → Organization → Calendar Colors and, under Dashboard calendar:

  • picks a color for each kind of event, or
  • chooses Event type under Color events by. Volunteer opportunities are then colored by their type (Construction, ReStore, Training, and so on), using the same event type colors as the volunteer sign-up calendar. Fundraising events, campaigns, and projects keep their colors.

Click Save colors. Every Calendar tile in your organization uses the new colors the next time it loads.

Audience and visibility​

Set who can see the dashboard:

  • Private — just you
  • Shared — selected teammates or roles
  • Affiliate-wide — visible to anyone in your affiliate
