Share Public Opportunity Links

Goal: Promote a specific event or opportunity to your audience and let them register from anywhere on the web.

Two ways to share

Ayuna supports two flavors of public opportunity link:

  1. Open shareable link — one URL anyone can use. Best for newsletters, social posts, and partner sites.
  2. Personal email invite — see Invite Volunteers by Email. Best for named recipients; each invitee gets their own link with a personalized eligibility preview.
  1. Open the opportunity from the Volunteer Opportunities list.
  2. Click the menu in the header and choose Enable Public Link.
  3. Ayuna copies the link to your clipboard immediately. You can grab it again any time from the same menu via Copy Public Link.

The URL looks like:

https://<your-affiliate>.ayuna.app/volunteer/opportunities/<event-id>

While the public link is enabled, a Public Link On badge appears next to the opportunity title.

What visitors see

When someone opens the link they see:

  • The event details (date, location, description)
  • The roles or slot types and remaining capacity
  • Any requirements (waivers, certifications) they'd need to complete

To register, the visitor signs in or creates an account at your affiliate. New accounts are normal volunteer accounts and persist after registration.

From the same menu, choose Disable Public Link. The URL will start returning a "this opportunity is no longer available" page. Existing registrations are not affected.

Capacity, waitlists, and slot selection

If the event has slot types defined, the public page lets visitors pick which slot they want. When a slot fills up, it disappears automatically. If the event uses a waitlist, the page makes that clear too.

Tracking

Source-of-signup analytics for public links are on the roadmap; today, registrations made via public links land in the same registration list as any other channel.
